What has bitten me?

Was in the garden a couple of weeks ago when something bit me - felt a proper little nip and it really hurt. Not like a mozzie bite. It had turned into a blood blister by the next day which refilled a couple of times after I burst it (error number one? )

It’s still lingering on with redness but I’ve noticed overnight there’s a new red line heading away from the bite.

Draw a circle around the red area. If it expands beyond your drawn line you'll need medical attention straight away in case of infection.

I've just been Dr Googling on your behalf. The red line moving away from the bite means you need to be seen urgently. They'll probably give you antibiotics to prevent infection.

Eek thanks so much for that INeed I was just curious what it was when I posted but on account of what you’ve said have just called my GP surgery and managed to get a cancelled appt for this evening. Thanks again!

Oh good. I'm glad you've got an appointment! I was worried you might not check back and see my posts. It'll be interesting to see what they say caused by.
