Any eye experts around?

To say my incessant googling.

Mum had an eye appointment- they've told her her eyes are too dry/she isn't producing enough fluid and they will have to do laser eye surgery to prevent her going blind in the long term.

She can't remember what condition they said it was - does anyone know?

there are two surgical treatments for dry eyes listed on the nhs site, but easiest to ring the surgery and ask?

glad it has been spotted.

Is this in a hospital? If so phone the main switchboard and ask for ophthalmology.

If it's a clinic , could you google the number ?

Will they not confirm in writing, copying her gp or optician , whoever referred her.

It's health centre so essentially a hospital but mum was waiting 45 mins for someone to answer the switchboard number before giving up
