Can you upgrade your caravan at Haven?

We are going soon and I was wondering if you paid a bit more when you book in can they upgrade you ?

Yes, I’m sure I’ve done this with a sun holiday coupon booking.

What did you do, just ask when you got your keys?

I've not tried it myself but they have online chat and they've always been helpful when I've had to contact them 😊

If the upgrade is available on the day you arrive then yes you can. But there have been times when the upgrade was not available for us.

Have you called them ? I have done it in advance in the past.

Yes but what grade are you in? I uploaded my deluxe to a prestige not long ago and my sister still had a deluxe and it was a better Van.

I don’t think they will upgrade you for free (as a hotel sometimes would if they have better rooms free) but you can ring beforehand and pay extra for an upgrade. We’ve done that a few times.

Also meant to say the newer vans are all so similar. One year we had a newer prestige and this time we had a newer standard and you could hardly tell the difference- the newer standard model even had a bigger main bedroom!

Unless you can get it for free I wouldn’t bother. The prestige is pretty good. What park are you on?

We were upgraded from a prestige to a new model prestige and the new one was really stupidly laid out, it was a bloody nightmare and I wish we hadn’t been upgraded!

I think I asked when we checked in. I can’t remember why now. Might have wanted more heating or something.

And I did pay extra.

We went the week before last and we were upgraded for free from a prestige to a platinum with wrap around deck and a sea view. It was beautiful! Tv in every room, walk in wardrobe and a full size bath in one of the bathrooms. Loved it

It’s better to get in touch before you go, as it’ll depend on availability. However, unless it’s really cheap to upgrade I’d probably stick with the prestige. I’ve found Haven caravan classes don’t vary all that much. They’re usually nice and modern.

I phoned up before we went and paid a bit extra. I only phoned because I received a text saying upgrades were available.
