Ideas for winter holiday at 7 months pregnant?

First baby due in March and we have decided to go on a bit of a splurgey holiday while it's just the two of us. We were thinking Jan, I will be 27 weeks pregnant. We'd like to go somewhere which is warm, not in the 30s necessarily but over 25 so counted out Gran Canaria etc.

We will probably do all inclusive, somewhere where DP can make friends in the bar and I can read by the pool. Looking at Cancun, Dominican and Cape Verde at the moment. Would love suggestions.

Also, am I made to go at 27 weeks or is that ok?!

Great time to go! Some airlines want a letter at 27 though so be sure to check. I went at 26 weeks and felt great. Just make sure you walk as much on the plane as you can.

Also while I have no suggestions as to destination I think a relaxing holiday is a wonderful idea. I love love love being a mum. The one thing I do miss is lying by a pool reading a book. Total and absolute bliss. Do it for all of us who can't 🤣

I will!! Thank you. I'm going to think of it has the future honeymoon we probably won't get around to once we have kids!

Really don't want to rain on your parade but all of those countries you've mentioned have a zika risk. We had originally booked Barbados for Nov but we've changed to Tenerife as I'm currently 13 weeks . I think the risk is small and chances are I'd have been ok but after 5 years TTC and a round of IVF I wanted zero risk. We went to Mauritius last year and that was fab we'd have liked to have gone back again but couldn't change to there as we needed to stick with airtours so as not to lose our deposit.

No I'd rather you did rain!! Thank you, hadn't even thought of that. Eeek!

Mauritius could be perfect for what you’re after

I've found the most perfect place in Mauritius but don't think DP would quite stretch the budget! Wondering around going to one of the Canary islands in November if warm enough

Make sure you are decent travel insurance, and for peace of mind I'd choose somewhere with decent medical facilities nearby. I ruled out Maldives when pregnant as I didn't want to be in a remote resort.
