What shall I buy in French supermarkets?

Saw a post over on S&B about this but I'm looking for more food/household purchases!

Off for a weekend in France soon and my favourite thing is looking around the supermarkets but never end up bringing home anything other than wine and cheese. I've seen that washing powder is apparently cheap over there so may stock up. Anything else worth buying in bulk? Are nappies any good?

Any other French delicacies I'm missing out on?

We've just been to France -purple you must get carrot rappe. You find it in the chillers. And their potato and ham and dressing salad next to the carrot rappe is really good. Bonne maman sable biscuits are to die for. Any of the cold meats. Enjoy.

I could easily spend a day out in a French supermarket. Love them.

Cremant de Loire wine, saucisson sec, paprika crisps, tinned artichoke, chocolate. My husband also has a thing for buying French frying pans.

They have lovely flavours of shower gel. DOP was my favourite brand, I came home with 6 or 7 bottles last time we had the car in France. I love their biscuits and chocolate as well. Oh, and pain d'epices - we always bring home a few of those. Patisserie-made, not supermarket. We used to bring tins of duck confit and rillettes as well but I just make them myself now.
