List of devices on DP’s Apple ID include my HP laptop??

That’s it really. How is this possible please? My partner was showing me his list of devices as he can’t get his old iPhone to update. My HP laptop is listed as a device of his.
Can someone please tell me how this is likely to have happened? I don’t remember him logging into iTunes on my laptop.

I don’t use iTunes, but my HP laptop shows up in my list of devices - can’t remember where but I know I’ve seen it.

Is it just the list if available devices? Through the Bluetooth or wireless it will just show up nearby devices you can pair with.

Laptop wasn’t switched on at the time. I was a bit about it but maybe it is that his iPad picked it up at some time?
