Has anyone here visited Chigwell/Loughton before?

Am I the only one who thinks they are actually quite reflective of Towie?

From what I've seen

I drove by Chigwell and only saw people shutting the boot to their bright white Range Rovers. The rest was just huge houses with lots of greenery.

Then I stopped at a cafe/drinks place in Loughton, surrounded by countryside, I think. The men were all very 'Essex' and the ladies all seemed to have big boobies and extremely white teeth.

Would you say some of Essex is actually very reflective of stereotypical Essex?

I should probably add that I spent my teens in Laindon so I know Essex isn't all glam

South Essex can be like that. Less so as you go further north and east.

'London essex' iyswim is like that! Go further out and not so much.

Aren't places like Dagenham, Basildon, Thurrock, South Essex? They certainly aren't like it

I do love Essex though. Recently visited a few villages. Very lovely and more 'posh'

Bits of it are , but Chigwell covers Hainault which I don't think is TOWIE-esque.

DD and I were shopping today (at Lakeside) you see more false lashes and Sharpie brows there than most other places.
My neck of the woods is more leggings'n'Uggs

I live in Loughton. It can be the way you describe but there are lots of normal people too.
