What do you think of this cake ?

I'm thinking of making a Cointreau flavoured sponge with creme pat filling with Italian buttercream frosting ? It's for a special occasion . What do you think ? Too sickly ?

I would add orange zest to the cake batter, and maybe either add orange juice to the icing or infuse the milk for the creme pat with some orange zest - that would counter some of the sweetness.

you lot !! I'm going to make it Thur or Friday , so will post a pic if it's not too disastrous !!! Or maybe even if it is , we all need a good laugh, my cakes are very hit and miss ! My heart is in the right place , but doesn't always end up quite how I imagined .
