Can we talk about how amazing sudocrem is?

Had a huge spot on Thursday so I put a layer of sudocrem on. Have been putting some on every time I’m home since then and now my spot is almost gone! I’m left with a teeny pink mark when usually it would still be raging at this point.

Just wanted to share how amazing it is at spots, I’d never thought to use it for anything other than nappy rash!

It's always been called magic cream in our house Grin

DragonMamma · 08/09/2018 09:08

I use it for everything. If sudocrem doesn’t sort it then I’m usually at a loss.

Palmer1983 · 08/09/2018 09:09

It is magic we use for bites and spots like you say I put it on when I get home after work and overnight and it certainly sorts out any problems Smile

Sudocrem is the BEST we use it for everything here!! I discovered it from an old boyfriend and it was the best thing about our relationship. Grin

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 08/09/2018 09:11

Even used it on ddog in the past!

Mayhemmumma · 08/09/2018 09:11

Yes!! But not the new light tube version...that's rubbish.

Notagainmun · 08/09/2018 09:23

Would it work on cold sores?

Temporaryanonymity · 08/09/2018 09:26

I agree. It works magically on everything I've tried it on

Doyoumind · 08/09/2018 09:27

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I don't like it at all. I found it horrible as a nappy rash cream and it's terrible on eczema. Sorry.

user1457017537 · 08/09/2018 09:27

It works on my excema I have tried protopic et al, and Sudocrem and E45 Itch Relief have got it under control for me.

Impulsesealer · 08/09/2018 09:27

I can’t believe I’ve never thought to use it! Spent a fortune on spot creams over the years too

It’s worth a try notagain! It’s main ingredient is Zinc which is brill for healing.

Its drying on eczema and no good for cold sores
Other than that it's a wonder cream. Its not good then your DC, age 2, covers themselves head to toe in a large tub of sudocream

weegiemum · 08/09/2018 09:31

I'm allergic to it, brings me out in a rash!

happinessischocolate · 08/09/2018 09:32

It doesn't work on eczema or the weird rash my dd got after going in her friends hot tub, the only thing that did work was dream cream from lush.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 08/09/2018 09:35

It's terrible on dermatitis, but works on everything else. An old GP of ours used to swear by it too.

Biologifemini · 08/09/2018 09:38

It is mildly antiseptic and antifungal and also anti redness.
A wonder cream indeed.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 08/09/2018 09:38

Worked well on a nasty sore I developed due to ill fitting trousers.

CeeCeeAndAida · 08/09/2018 09:38

Me too, weegie!

Apileofballyhoo · 08/09/2018 09:44

For anything sudocrem doesn't help let me recommend Pure Potions Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment. My GP was amazed by what it did for DS, who had the aftermath of a terrible rash that turned into an eczema type thing on his face.

ElspethFlashman · 08/09/2018 09:46

I don't fi fit good on cold sores as it clings to them and makes them white and its v hard to get the white out without tearing the cold sore (sorry).

But for everything else it's magic.

dementedpixie · 08/09/2018 09:49

I use it on chafing, spots and my belly button when it gets a bit smelly (it is very innie and can get red and sore from time to time)

Fatted · 08/09/2018 09:52

Nope. Personally I don't rate it and the worst part now is I always associate the smell of it now with shitty nappies!

dementedpixie · 08/09/2018 09:54

This makes me smile Grin

StereophonicallyChallenged · 08/09/2018 09:56

I use it to clear up the mess left behind from coldsores. I take ages for anythi g to heal but sudocreme helps it along nicely!

Yes for everything else too, spots etc. It's brilliant Grin

Littlebatcalledlucille · 08/09/2018 10:04

I clean a lot and (forget to put rubber gloves on)
My hands crack terrible in the cold weather too I think its some mild dermatitis type thing.
So before bed I rub some on the outside of my hands (knuckles)
And they are magically healed! I love the stuff for every thing!
