🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

Been up with my wild one year old since half four 😩 I’m so tired. She’s pottering around and trashing the place. Husband and three year old happily snoring upstairs. I could weep. Long day ahead and I feel like I should already be halfway through it!

Can’t even Mumsnet properly because she keeps grabbing my phone and running away 😬

Wow you are me! Mine is 17mo and will not sleep past 5am... he is bored already and it always feels like ages until you can go out anywhere :(

I go to bed at 9 to compensate but it makes for a dull life lol

Chosenbyyou · 08/09/2018 06:29

My 3 yo sleeps like a dream and would sleep til 9am which just adds to the irony lol!

Yup 3 year old started nursery this week and big new things are always reflected in her sleep Brew

Not too bad today - up at 2, 4 and 6 with the baby then 6.15 with the toddler...

It's hard isn't it. We've bought him a gro clock. He loves it and merrily acknowledges its existence but still gets up. The only thing that works for us is a.stairgate on his door. For some reason he is happy to sit quietly in his room for ages if the stairgate is closed!

Mercifully at 2.5y he will sit and watch cartoons for a while when we first get up so I can at least get a coffee and MN... At 1.5y I was tearing my hair with him all day long, so when that day started at silly a.m. I could cry. In fact I frequently did cry!

MagnaDoodle · 08/09/2018 06:35

I would honestly give anything to crawl back into my lovely warm bed and sleep for another six hours 😴 I’ve caved and put the heating on I’m freezing!

No baby, just a shitty illness, I've been up since 3:11!

DunesOfSand · 08/09/2018 06:39

What time does the 3 year old get up? Hand them both over to DH at that point, and go back to bed. It's not as good as a full nights sleep, but another couple of hours from 8- later in the morning is much better than nothing.

DozyDoates · 08/09/2018 06:40

not quite as early but DS is up...and bloody exhausted. He started school this week and I know the day holds many emotional meltdowns due to him being so tired. Apparently DH had a horrible sleep and needs five more minutes, that was an hour ago!

Outbackshack · 08/09/2018 06:41

530 here with a 2 year old who was forgotten how to sleep. Had a very rare evening out so didn't get to bed to gone 11 so will be an exceptionally long day today

MagnaDoodle · 08/09/2018 06:41

I can’t we are going out early this morning to visit my parents. 2.5 hour drive. DH is driving hence the lie in. But I’ll get mine tomorrow.

4.30 for me!

Dc are 7 and 15 so not child related. I'm going through an insomnia phase which happens at least once every few months.
I have fibromyalgia.

This episodes lasted a few weeks so I saw my doctor who prescribed sleeping tablets for a few weeks. Last night I took my last one and was still awake at stupid o'clock.

They only seem to work for a week.
I don't need them as they clearly don't work!

Hope the day is gentle to everyone Flowers

peppapigkeepsthemquiet · 08/09/2018 06:43

Our dog got put to sleep yesterday and I’ve had about 1.5 hours sleep all night through the sobbing.
My head is fit to explode and I feel like I’m going to throw up.
Worst night ever.

MagnaDoodle · 08/09/2018 06:44

And my jaw is absolutely killing from clenching my teeth all night.
Hoping for a nap later ❤️

Zoflorabore · 08/09/2018 06:49

So sorry peppa xx

MagnaDoodle · 08/09/2018 06:49

Noooo now DD2 is lying on the floor because she’s exhausted but need her to sleep in the car (or she will moan and cry all the way to my parents) so she can’t sleep now 😥

Think we shall have a bath

peppapigkeepsthemquiet · 08/09/2018 06:51

A bath sounds good. I could do with one of those ❤️

Mum2OneTeen · 08/09/2018 06:55

Peppa that is so sad, for you Thanks

PawneeToday · 08/09/2018 06:56

Magna, definitely take a blanket and pillow into the car, both kids should sleep on the way since they've been up early and you can rest your eyes too. Only your DH needs to be awake!

Hope you get out the door ok and on schedule, I always find that to be crunch point where everyone is yelling Shock

PawneeToday · 08/09/2018 06:57

Aww Peppa, sorry about your doggy Sad

MagnaDoodle · 08/09/2018 07:01

Yes getting out is always a nightmare isn’t it. I definitely plan to nap while DH is driving.

Have theeee worst cramps this morning as well. Ffs.

Yes! Me.

DD (11 months) woke up at 5.24. However she was also awake for two hours from 11pm-1am 😩

I want to ask when it will end but this thread suggests it might not be better for quite a while....

SandysMam · 08/09/2018 07:09

Flowers for Peppa, it is a gift to give your pet to know when the time is right to let them go. Doesn’t make it easier though.
Brew for the rest of you.

wigglybeezer · 08/09/2018 07:10

Been awake for hours here, due to my big kids, DS1 has to get up at 5 for work and I find myself waking up to check he is up and moving around, also taking DS2 off to start university today, so feeling excited and sad at the same time.
Mind you, menopause means I can't remember when I last slept through, at least with babies I used to drop back off after being disturbed, enjoy them while they're wee and snuggly!
