My diary's a bit empty of fun stuff and I'm out of insppiration. What's coming up that you are looking forward to, big or small, home or away?

Ive got a spa break at the end of the month with two friends .

QueenieMum · 08/09/2018 09:46

DD and I were talking about Halloween yesterday. There's an event at a local attraction a few days before that she likes the sound of and we need to get her a new costume for Halloween itself. DD's at an age now where she can enjoy it so looking forward to that. Also looking forward to going walking regularly again which I wasn't able to go over the summer as it was too hot. Casseroles too!

Mammabear31 · 08/09/2018 10:00

Having a squishy, cute newborn. Due 2rd October and I've already bought 2 halloween sleepsuits! Smile

Sorry, not very helpful and requires prior planning!!

I also love going conker hunting, long walks in leafy woods followed by steaming mugs of hot chocolate and cake....lots and lots of cake!

MinaPaws · 08/09/2018 12:19

Congratulations @Mammabear31 But I'm not going to join you on that one.
Yes to conker hunting, leafy woods, Halloween and spas. They all sound gorgeous.
What cake recipes?

donajimena · 08/09/2018 12:28

My winter wardrobe. I dress really well in winter. Almost stylish. In summer I look like a sack of shite Grin

Spudlet · 08/09/2018 12:30

Getting my favourite skirt out again. It's a fine tweed maxi skirt and I love it.
Wearing red lipstick again - somehow it feels too much in summer but I love it in autumn and winter.
Fireworks.
Making Christmas cards at playgroup with ds! I like to outsource messy jobs like that Grin

Being able to wear cosy cardigans and jeans. I’m absolutely crap at dressing in summer and hate showing too much flesh.

Going out without fear of sunburn, enjoying mugs of tea in the evenings, getting the slow cooker out to make lots of stews and casseroles.

MinaPaws · 08/09/2018 14:13

I love snuggly knits and boots, true. And I bought a caramel coloured long trench coat this week. I've wanted one since I was about 13, so about time. I loved wearing it out for a sunny autumn walk yesterday with DH.

Carrot cake is a good idea. Not made one of those in ages. So moist and cinnamony. I was thinking of a coffee and walnut, but carrot cake sounds almost healthy for DC, if I do the cream cheese frosting...

I love all these simple pleasures people are listing (and 3 weeks in Tenerfie too, just can't match that!)

What about films? Any good films to curl up in front of?

Walking in the rain with the dogs
Fluffy socks and cosy jammies
Making filling soups and home made bread
Lighting the fires and sitting with a glass of red in cosy jammas watching the flames
Crisp mornings
Stews and casseroles
Seeing the leaves on the trees turn amazing colours
Wearing my winter wardrobe, especially my boots and thick tights.

Spudlet · 08/09/2018 18:35

May I add... wearing my skirt with my new (to me) leather jacket that I picked up in a charity shop yesterday for £17.50. I cleaned it up today then looked up how much it should have been new on a whim... £200, bloody Nora! I may explode from sheer bargain hunter smug twatery BlushShockGrin

MegBusset · 08/09/2018 18:39

Coloured tights and new boots
Leafy walks
Trip to London later this month

Soup for lunch - I'm bored of salad
Some decent gigs hopefully - always crap over summer festival season
