Trouser recommendations for a toddler!

Please help, I’ve tried all sorts and cannot get trousers to fit 22 month old DS. He is quite tall, I don’t think skinny, and yet everything falls down on him! He is wearing 12-18 month joggers at the minute which are far too short but do stay up.

I ideally need some with the buttons inside that can adjust the waist- anyone seen them anywhere recently?

My ds was tall and slim and frequently lost his trousers....
Boden( really liked their reversible joggers withdrawstrung waist) , Jojo, John Lewis all fit and have adjustable waists. I looked for slim fit trousers and jeans. Dungarees were also good but not so much when you start potty training. Sainsbury’s never fitted, or next, Tesco were okay. Frugi is cut for cloth nappies so can sometimes be a bit saggy around the bottom but fit fine on the waist iyswim!

I loved Frugi and Polarn O Pyret when DS2 was younger, their clothes just seemed designed for little bodies rather than being miniature versions of everything else stores sell (like Next).

The other thing I found was that H&M boys section always has gorgeous little cords in every autumn that always fitted and washed beautifully on little bodies.

All mothercare trousers seem to have the adjusters inside

Primark leggings may be in the 'girls' section but they have plenty in plain colours.

Fred and Noah leggings all the way!

I got DS trousers with fully elasticated waists and ankle cuffs (mostly from H&M, Lindex, ASDA etc). Adjustable waists, drawstrings and fitted waists never worked.

Also Sainsburys and Boden trousers NEVER stayed up on him, so I totally avoided those brands.

We have a few pairs of Boden joggers but they don’t stay up and the drawstring isn’t threaded through. So many seem to have these fake strings that don’t pull the waist in!

I managed to get some leggings from H&M and some chinos from Primark with an adjustable waist so was a good start! Will keep the recommendations handy for when we are looking again!
