I love the way he does a difficult job but keeps his dignity and he has a heart...genuine difficult cases he treats with care and compassion.
Especially when young children are involved or people are ill.

I hope I never find myself in that situation but if I am god forbid , I hope it’s Paul who knocks at my door.

Considering the dire reputation the company he works for has and the propensity for bullying tactics they are known for I doubt he is that way when the cameras aren't there.

I agree OP, I watched one where he even paid out of his own pocket to put a woman and her kids in a hotel for the night as it was so late. I also like his partner, sorry can't remember his name they both appear to be very supportive/understanding.

I think Steve Pinner is the other one, they're both lovely.

Just remember it's a TV show, of course they're not going to want to come across in a nasty or bullying manner.

Of course he could be a lovely person, but I'd take anything I saw on a reality show with a huge pinch of salt.

He lives not far from me. His persona on tv is just that. He's an arrogant horrible man who loves his job! He lives in a not particularly nice estate (as do I) and he loves complaining about anyone and anything. Reports to council for all sorts.
I personally haven't had an issue with him because I'm boring but quite a few have.
The paying for things is only for tv I think. They aren't allowed to do it so far as I'm aware.

@Whatsthisbear i agree it is. He does seem so nice on television but i haven't seen it in practise.
Although he doesn't work round here so maybe he is that nice in work mode.

He didn't pay for the woman and child's accommodation. There's an emergency fund available in these circumstances. They only use it in extreme cases. It was late at night and there was no chance they'd film them leaving a mum and child stranded. It did look like he paid it but he would most certainly have been reimbursed.
Mr McCracken is a tool he has no empathy and most definitely inflames situations.

I despise the lot of them to be perfectly honest especially that daddy's boy Ben Pinner. "Ooh Daddy I want to be Bailiff like you".
