Mid December Birthday Party Ideas

DD will be 7 in mid December.

I made some enquires today for things like the Snowdome or a party bus but they are already fully booked.

Last year her local venue party was nearly cancelled due to the snow. People had to trek in and it took us 45 minutes to do an 7 minute trip, so I feel nervous about booking further afield.

Any ideas for an at home party for 4 - 5 guests where they won't get bored? I saw gingerbread house decorating but not sure if that would last more than 20 minutes.

If you're planning on doing it at home then call it a Christmas Craft Party and plan a few different crafts. Making decorations etc.

You could even have a present wrapping contest....give them all something small in a box to wrap up...don't let them see what's in the boxes because each one contains what will be their party favour. Make the boxes no bigger than say, a butter packet.

Provide gift wrap, ribbons, bows etc....stickers and candy canes.

When they've all finished have them each make a label for one another and tie it on. Then have them decorate a small table top Christmas tree and tie the gifts on.

Then make them hot chocolate with whipped cream and candy canes in it and tell them to open their gifts.

Those ideas with a chocolate fondue, treasure hunt, music and lots of pretty lights would work. Thank you. We always had parties at home when I was younger.
