We have dc in years 5&7, how damaging would it be to take them out of school for 9-12 months and go on a round the world trip? We'd obviously do some home schooling etc but neither of us are academic so being realistic it won't compare to a school year but we feel this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and the overall experience would out-weigh the potentially negative impact on their schooling.
Any thoughts?
