Gatwick parking - easiest car park

So I know they are connected.

Flying out of South and into North with my in laws. They are getting on and need the easiest ( least confusing) car park to get in or out of..
Can't have meet and greet as they don't have a mobile.
Thinking long stay is better as the multi story car park could be tricker to park. Which is easiest to get back on the motorway or better signposted please?

The official short stay and long stay are both easily accessible from the motorway. Be aware there are roadworks and speed restrictions on the M23 at the moment.

You can walk to the terminals from the short stays. However the spaces are small and the winding slopes between floors are relatively tight if they have a large car. Also, they'd have to get the little train between terminals if they are flying out if one and into another.

Long stay might be better as they should be able to get a bus from outside each terminal.
