How can I earn more money?

I work as a HCA for the NHS, have half been thinking of doing the nursing degree - I enjoy the job, I really do, but have friends who are qualified nurses for who it is still a real struggle just to live. So am questioning whether I want to do 3 years of training to only be in a slightly better off position, if that makes sense. At the moment every month is a bit of a struggle and my husband and I both work full time, we just about manage to pay the bills but not a lot left!

I have already got a degree (English) as I wanted to teach but realised I hated working in a school.

There aren't huge employment opportunities where I live, mainly care work or seasonal. Moving not an option really, I just feel a bit stuck! What would you do?

Would going self employed help? Take on individual clients?

Hmm I used to be self employed, not sure if want to go back there unless it was mega secure!

Assessing? You could check whether your local college are looking for people to assess healthcare qualifications.

Health Assessments for the DWP? Private health care? School nurse or onsite HCP at some kind of large factory/facility?
