Hard to explain, but when you read a thread on MN then you are out months later and see a similar thing happen IRL.
I was just having a look round our local charity shop when a lady was super stroppy very indignant that no local shops were accepting donations at the moment. She demanded to see the sign that showed this (she'd missed it on the way in but it was there) and had to drag her stuff back out with her. Reminded me of a thread where a lovely MNetter had trouble with a Charity Shop.
I did have some sympathy for the donor tbh, as the shop is putting out brand new Christmas stock which obviously leaves less room for the donated items
