Hi there, first time poster. I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and work in a care home on night shift. However, during my pregnancy I have been off sick for numerous weeks for sickness, back pain etc. I'm now trying to decide when to finish up, I have been away from the care side of things and done the domestic work for a few weeks (long story) but I feel like I want to go back and work with the residents before I finish up. Thinking of finishing at 34 weeks which would be the start of October, do you think that's a reasonable time to finish? I doubt I can manage any further than that, my shifts are 12 hours, 3 nights a week. Thanks!

With my second I finished at 34 weeks. I just worked a desk job. But I was enormous and struggling with shifts and a toddler to look after as well! Good job because I ended up having him at 38 weeks.

Thanks ladies, as my username suggests I already have 3 other kids so I'm constantly tired from looking after them as well. But I want to go back for a few weeks for the adult communication side of things which I have severely lacked since being off sick! All of my pregnancies have went overdue so far Confused so I'm sort of assuming this one will be the same. But I think 34 weeks is the maximum I can manage, I don't have a huge bump but with certain aspects of my job it does get in the way Grin how soon did you all go back to work after maternity leave?
