IKEA trip today - what is good in the baby department?

DD is reaching weaning age so I'm off to IKEA to buy her high chair (recommended by several people). Anything else I should look out for while I'm there?

High chair inflatable insert. Can take it to restaurants to support your baby in those rubbish, wooden high chairs. £6 I think.

I read the title and came on here to say the highchair! Grin

They do a good apron for painting when baby gets a bit bigger! Also, I've never used them but will be buying the long sleeved bib/cover ups when I start weaning my baby.

The coloured plastic plates bowls and cutlery. They are about 90p for a pack of 5. We bought three pack of it all and use them for parties as well as every day.

Flannels - they do a pack of ten for a couple of quid.

Another vote for the plastic cups, bowls, plates and cutlery. Will be used for years.

If you're not intending to go back any time soon, I'd pick up the high backed potty too.

Slatternsdelight · 06/09/2018 10:06

The bibs-cotton backed with rubber fronts-they was great at 60 degrees

Also second the packs of flannels-buy lots! We use them for household cleaning and wiping faces/hands etc

Antilop highchair obviously, plus insert

The toilet training seats and pottys are great too

Thank you all! I got the highchair, insert, flannels, plates etc. I'm almost disappointed in how easy the highchair was to assemble- I love an IKEA challenge! Will go back at a later date for pottys etc
