Do schools have to allow adjustments to uniform for pupils with SENDS

Dd has sends and currently on the CAHMS pathway for ASD assessment, she has major sensory issues one of these being she can not tolerate her ankles being covered EVER, this means jeans etc must be rolled up including school trouser

Been back at school a hour and the stress has started and told if trousers not down by tomorrow then she will be in isolation

She's in correct tailored trousers but you can see 1 inch of ankle, surely reasonable adjustments must be made for children with sends?

Can anyone point me in right of finding out law on this to back up my email?

Where they aware of the issue in advance?

I would certainly class that as a reasonable adjustment, but if they don’t know the issue in advance they may just see it as a stroppy child and not the real issue it is.

Before going down legislation route I would talk to the teacher and/or senco
