DD has massive black eye, starts nursery this week

Hi all, DD starts nursery this week and has given herself a huuuggggee black eye. Any tips for helping the bruising subside? She won't let me ice it for more than a few seconds at a time. Will arnica be of any use? Bit worried about using it near her eye.

I'd definitely use arnica, just being careful of the eye and broken skin. I'm a nanny and I swear by it, my DD ends up covered in it more than I'd really ever anticipated!
