Ive been looking at soup makers the last few days as the handle snapped off my beloved soup pot on Sunday. Devastated!

We've got a Morphy Richards one and it's great.

Morphy Richards Sauté and Soup. It does everything, including sautéing the veg first, and liquidises the soup at the end of cooking. Mine is used all through winter, as I have soup for lunch every day.

Another vote for the Sauté and Soup (although I don't bother with the Sauté function). I was given one and I resisted using it for six months as I was perfectly fine with my pan and stick blender method. It was only when the gift giver visited and looked hurt Blush that I dusted it off and used it and I'm glad I did. The smooth soup is VERY smooth and despite being of a haphazard type of cook and not really following a recipe I seem to get consistent results.

I make a variety of types but I really like using a pre-chopped bag of veg that I buy in Morrisons (I think). Butternut squash, sweet potato and chilli.

Another vote for Morphy Richards Sauté and Soup Grin

Thank you

How long roughly does the process take? Is there a timer to delay cook, for example so the soup is ready at tea time when I’ve been at work all day?

Another vote for Morphy Richards - it only takes 25 mins or so, so I would load in the morning and just start as soon as I came in the door
