Lake District - short break

Hello

Planning a short break in the lakes for half term. Expenditure is up to £400 for a cottage or caravan for three nights. It needs 3 bedrooms. Any recommendations of places to stay? I find it easier if there is something on site to help entertain the children. The last holiday we had there was a play area and animal feeding.

Thank you.

White Cross Bay is lodges/caravans on the shores of Windermere. We've been a couple of times - its lovely, there's a nice pool onsite. Well located for Ambleside and Windermere.

Thanks! White Cross Bay works with our budget.

Second White Cross Bay. We were there last week, it's a lovely campsite the staff were friendly and helpful. We did find the pool a bit cold, also during peak times the pool is open in sessions which you need to book in advance, so you have to be organised.
Windermere is a beautiful little town and the lake is lovely, also you're not far from Kendal which is larger.

Booked White Cross Bay. Never stayed in a static caravan before. Looking forward to it now. Thanks.
