What gestation did you have your subsequent baby/ies at?

Almost 37 weeks again and struggling to get my head around the possibility of potentially 5 more weeks of pregnancy!

Thanks!

37+1 then 37 on the dot

TroubledLichen · 04/09/2018 19:34

Not me but SIL had no.1 at 37 weeks, no.2 at 38 weeks and no.3 had to be induced at 41 weeks as she refused to come on her own!

HeyMicky · 04/09/2018 19:36

36+4 then induced at 37+2

40+5, sorry! Ha. He was mid December too, and I was so gunning for an October/November baby. My first pregnancy was tough, I really felt it and waters going early was no surprise. Second pregnancy however was a complete breeze, I barely felt pregnant aside from the huge bump. So I should have guessed DC2 was in for the long haul. If you’re already feeling it - maybe you’re due another punctual “term” baby. Good luck Smile

Marriageoftrueminds · 04/09/2018 19:43

Sorry to hijack your thread but I am 37+1 with my first today and think baby might be gearing up to come out - is he likely to be ok? I’ve read his lungs might not be ready and I’m worrying myself! Thanks and sorry again to muscle in...

Giraffeski · 04/09/2018 19:44

Marriage, 37+1 would be classed as full term so no need to worry.

MummyInHeel · 04/09/2018 19:46

37 weeks is full term marriage, please don't worry! Good luck!

Marriageoftrueminds · 04/09/2018 19:47

Thanks @Giraffeski. I know it’s classed as term in NHS and I really need to stop worrying!

RJnomore1 · 04/09/2018 19:48

37 and then 32.

So you could go any time really!

ParklifePoser · 04/09/2018 19:48

Not quite as early but 38, 39 and 42 here. It was a massive shock to have an extra 3-4 weeks of being pregnant!

Marriageoftrueminds · 04/09/2018 19:50

Thanks both. I’m aware I’m being silly. I’ve had a stressful pregnancy (I lost my first baby) and I need to woman up and stop worrying!!

I feel bad about derailing this thread so I will add what I can: my friend had her first at 37+6 and was induced with her second at 38+5 (she is in a different country and had a medical reason; she and baby were fine though), her second showed no signs of coming out early until he was served his marching orders!

carrie74 · 04/09/2018 19:51

38 then 39 here - I was VERY impatient for no 2, he seemed very late after no 1

bettybyebye · 04/09/2018 19:56

Dc1 born at 37+2, DC2 39 weeks exactly. I was totally unprepared for DC1’s arrival, and with DC2 felt overdue from 37 weeks onward! I was very relieved when she arrived!

AutoFilled · 04/09/2018 19:56

DC was 39 weeks.

PutneyBridge · 04/09/2018 19:57

Thanks everyone. My first baby had a couple of little problems which could have been related to not being quite ready (nothing major, Marriage, don’t worry) so I was always keen for this one to stay in a bit longer, but I am really really feeling it and struggling this time, so now I don’t know what I want!

AutoFilled · 04/09/2018 20:00

I mean DC1 at 37 weeks. Then DC2 at 39 weeks. I wasn’t prepared for a 37 week birth for my first. I know it’s full term. But everyone said first one will be late. So I worked till the end of my 36th week. I remember I only have a few days off when I went into labour. Second time round I was off from something like 33 or 34 weeks. I used all my annual leave in one go before maternity leave. It felt like an eternity and i was counting the days after 37 weeks.

therealimposter · 04/09/2018 20:01

40 weeks

AutoFilled · 04/09/2018 20:01

And yes to the other poster. 37 weeks is full term and you get discharged immediately. Unless there are other problems ofc.

Roamingseams · 04/09/2018 20:44

37, 40+1 and 38.

Welliejellie · 04/09/2018 20:46

37.2 for ds1 41.6 for ds2 sorry op you could be in for a long wait!

MrsRolly · 04/09/2018 20:51

37 exactly first time 39 + 5 the second time. Felt overdue for two weeks 😂😂

JennyOnAPlate · 04/09/2018 20:51

I had both of mine at 37+1.

blinkineckmum · 04/09/2018 20:52

38
37
39

BareBelliedSneetch · 04/09/2018 20:56

No1 was an utter surprise at 37 weeks. Spontaneous labour. I was expecting to go over due, so it felt like he was a month early.

No2 didn’t come until 40+1. It felt like she was overdue from 37 weeks Grin

melissasummerfield · 04/09/2018 20:58

37, 38 then no 3 had to be smoked out at nearly 40 weeks 😂
