Spa but non spa

Is there anywhere in England which has the relaxation of a spa, the lounging and chilling out, and good food and drink, without the getting into a swimsuit and swimming.

I lnow that swimming isn’t essential on a spa break but I just wondered if there was as want a day out with a friend which is a whole day in one place relaxing, and she doesn’t want to get into a costume!

Can you just book into an nice hotel and have food / drink etc or go out for food / drink without staying over? Don’t really get what you are wanting

I want one location where you spend the whole day relaxing and that also does food and drink. Like a spa day but not woth the getting swimsuit and dressing gown on.

Just a day, not an overnight and not going out. Just cosying up.

We live far apart and I want to meet her for the day, so won’t be able to host this at eother of our houses. So I just wondered if anywhere did anything like that.

Country house hotel. Book for brunch and afternoon tea, and you can waft around in between.

I'd go here, in the Cotswolds

Yes I just think some where you can have some food and then some drinks or afternoon tea is a good idea as PP said

Maybe somewhere you can go for a walk or other activity if that is not out of the question?

Or a day out in a nice town like Harrogate (not sure where you are based) where you could go to Betty’s and then walk around the shops

Depends on location

www.leaf-lifestyleandbeauty.com/, about 20 minutes' drive from Chester.

Instead of a pool they have a sun simulator so no swimsuit required.

And you can go to the ice cream farm on the way home...

I believe what you're looking for is known as a 'dry spa' x

I keep saying someone should invent something like this

Move2WY · 04/09/2018 20:06

How about an appointment to get your nails done and then afternoon tea. You could do it in a hotel and just hang around one of the common areas in between or do it in a city centre and go for a wander.
