Ok so I will kick this off. I clearly did not pay attention during sex ed cos here I am mid 30s just finding this out.

Your pee and your period come out of 2 different bits.

Astonished when I found this out today reading reviews on moon cups.

Anyone got any to add?

@Sunflowersforever

Think it's Kale or cabbage (is Kale cabbage? Sorry I don't know!)

I wonder if it's seaweed in other parts of the world? I did try to google it at the time of discussion but couldn't really find an answer ...

pickles184 · 05/09/2018 08:48

Crispy seaweed is made with cabbage/spring greens, we make our version with kale in the oven at home.

I only found out very recently that the noise when clicking your fingers is from your finger hitting your palm not from your fingers clicking

avocados literally grow on trees. I thought they were like peppers or aubergines and grown on viney plants, but no, they grow on trees.

On the topic of Hardeep.....(I apologise if this was a well known fact but I only started tuning in after the the whole Roxy punch thing). I was looking up his age there to see if it was true. I found this out:

Hardeeps brother is the guy who plays Navid from still game?

I had no idea!

@margotsdevil I read it on an info board at Urquhart Castle. I just looked on Wikipedia but the entry on the North Sea was so long I lost the will. It did say this on Loch Ness though:

Loch Ness ...deepest point is 230 m (126 fathoms; 755 ft),[2][3] making it the second deepest loch in Scotland after Loch Morar. A 2016 survey claimed to have discovered a crevice that pushed the depth to 271 m (889 ft) but further research determined it to be a sonar anomaly.[4]

So maybe the info board was misleading.

Mosquitos have bad eye sight.its easier for them to make you out if you're wearing dark colours so wearing white or light colours makes you harder to be seen and be bitten.

The 'crack' that a whip makes is the sound of the tip breaking the sound barrier.

@AamdC The funny thing is, typewriters have a "backspace" key. It doesn't rub out though.

One I've heard (not verified), is the connection between the Plimsoll Line on a ship (meaning a ship is overloaded if the line goes below the water), and the rubber-soled canvas shoe. Put a plimsoll in water: it floats like a boat, the inside doesn't get wet at all, because of the rubber sole. But if you push it down below a certain level, water seeps in through the canvas.

Read on here the other day that France were still actively using the Guillotine when the first Star Wars movie was released.

Until DS was born DH thought that babies came out the 'wee wee hole'. Makes my eyes water just thinking about it.

MrsGrindah · 05/09/2018 11:12

Why are people being so nasty calling others think and liars just because they didn’t know something? You must feel very proud of yourselves.

MrsGrindah · 05/09/2018 11:16

Thick not think!

That Bobby Farrell - Boney M's Bez - died in St Petersburg on 30 December. The same city and date as Rasputin.

Harleypuppy · 05/09/2018 12:16

I thought 🤯 meant really angry, like 'I've blown my top', not 'mind blown '. I have aspergers, so I do struggle with facial expressions.

Redneckstumpy, except autistic brains. They are bigger than neurotypical brains because they have more white matter.

Allthatglittersisgold · 05/09/2018 12:28

@SwedishEdith I still remember being shocked when I found out that Bobby didn't even sing, just mimed!

This is silly, but I just now found out that it's not actually illegal to drive with the interior light on in the car- my parents lied!
