Fathers for Justice throws cereal on the floor of Asda.

Because it says ‘Coco Pops loved by kids, approved by mums’.

The silly little bollocks took exception to this and emptied a box of cereal on to the floor.

Well done mate, rather than getting your point across, which btw I think is a valid point, you’ve made it clear why your wife left you.

Well he looks like a class one bell end

TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 04/09/2018 17:14

That's not a protest, that's a tantrum.

The stupid thing is, they hate feminists and bait them at every opportunity, yet feminists would largely agree with their annoyance at that advertising.

bastardkitty · 04/09/2018 17:15

What an asshat!

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 04/09/2018 17:16

It is annoying advertising but that is a silly twatty protest. Hope he pays his ex enough maintenance to keep the kids on Coco Pops.

LARLARLAND · 04/09/2018 17:17

I am a mum and I very much disapprove of Cocopops Grin

Thesearmsofmine · 04/09/2018 17:19

What a moron, they should make him clean it up.

SausageOnAFork · 04/09/2018 17:20

I am on the same page as him for the ‘approved by mums’ message. Sexist and reinforces gender stereotypes.

But what a dickmove.

OP posts:
DastardlyAndMuttley · 04/09/2018 17:22

What a twat

Iwantplaits · 04/09/2018 17:23

Did he sweep it up?

Baumederose · 04/09/2018 17:24

He could have least done it in waitrose

charliedontsurf · 04/09/2018 17:27

Bet his kid is so pleased he's been banned from eating coco pops!

Annoyingly I agree but from a different POV - why just Mums, is it because it's wife work to feed the kids their breakfast? Wink

SausageOnAFork · 04/09/2018 17:40

why just Mums, is it because it's wife work to feed the kids their breakfast?

Exactly. I’m completely with him. What would have been a better move would have been to contact a feminist group and come together to contact Kellogg’s about how this reinforcing gender stereotypes etc.
Or even just write to them.
Throwing stuff on the floor so that some poor sod who has nothing to do with it has to clean it up and Kellogg’s probably won’t even hear about it.

OP posts:
SausageOnAFork · 04/09/2018 17:41

Is pointless, I meant to add on the end there.

megletthesecond · 04/09/2018 17:45

It's a massively twattish thing to do. Grown up toddler tantrum.

But FWIW I've called out companies who use "approved by mums" bollocks and suggested they use parents or mums & dads instead. Men are just as capable of washing and feeding their children.

AwdBovril · 04/09/2018 17:52

What a wanker. Own goal.

They should fine him for the cost of cleaning it up & replacing the stock lost. Not that I approve of Coco Pops, despite being a mum...

Foslady · 04/09/2018 17:52

Surely a far more effective was to have protested would have been to have put large stickers over the boxes themselves saying something along the lines of ‘bit dads disapprove of Kellogg’s for saying only Mums approve’ Confused

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 04/09/2018 17:52

Why is it that F4J seem to always manage to make themselves look like the sort of people who should have less responsibility for looking after children rather than more?

I can’t think of another group that manages to undermine their point so successfully.

It’s not quite in the same league as the guy who threaten to get his knob out on BBC breakfast, but it’s still a stupid way to make your point.

YeTalkShiteHen · 04/09/2018 17:55

See I’d have a lot more (for which read any) respect for F4J if they weren’t a bunch of entitled, infantile fucking wankers doing pathetic PR stunts instead of trying to parent!

Aye, the whole “Mums” thing is bollocks, but when you’ve had the many, many years of bullshit that comes with being a woman and a mother, maybe then you wouldn’t fucking trash Asda and make someone else clean it up!

You lose any validity of point when you behave like a dick.

doricgirl · 04/09/2018 19:09

And I bet a woman had to clean it up...

ForalltheSaints · 04/09/2018 19:19

I disapprove of Coco Pops. If he is that concerned, why did he not complain to the ASA? Who seem to take notice of many complaints judging by recent rulings.

amy85 · 04/09/2018 19:24

I kinda get where he's coming from but it's not Asda's fault so why make a mess there

And I hope saying he was horrified by the packing is a slight overreaction because if not he needs to wake up and live in the real world

AsAProfessionalFekko · 04/09/2018 19:26

And I'm assuming he is currently single? His Ex probably didn't want another kid on her hands.

Racecardriver · 04/09/2018 19:26

This is like something you see on overheadinwaitrose

AsAProfessionalFekko · 04/09/2018 19:27

That would be a lady taking bridge over the 'gentlemens relish' and tutting loudly.
