Lovely things people around you do for you or to make you feel good

Feel like quite often MN can be negative with shouts of LTB and MIL bashing. Can we have some nice things that people around us do for us or ways in which we feel loved? Friends, partners, children, parents etc?

I’ll start:

  • MIL for being genuinely supportive, funny, lovely and someone who I feel like is a friend without being with her son
  • DP who has dropped tools and rushed to be with me at hospital twice this year, even though I didn’t even really need him but there wasn’t even a question in his mind not to come. Plus he’s hilarious and silly and makes me feel really loved.
  • My best friend for texting me every day just for chit chat, but she’s so loyal and a brilliant friend

Any other people in your life who are lovely or make you feel loved?

My in-laws who treat me to breakfast on my day off every now and then. So kind. I suffer with depression, this helps.
They buy me a bag of peppers and leave them on my counter and don't want money.
They've had dd in the past so i could work pt in school holidays. No money. They took her out to fun places and took no money.
They bring a whole box of food on boxing day. No money requested, we just cook 😁
For all birthdays including mine, they take us for a slap up meal, no money required.
My dad makes lovely picnic food when we meet at the park...rare but appreciated.
My Mum is generous and non judgemental. She always reminds me of good points when I'm slating myself.

I’m an immigrant to the UK and it’s been difficult starting over here. There have been a few people who have really gone out of their way to befriend me and include me and it’s made a huge difference to my life. I try not to appear desperate for friends but I am!

My husband makes me feel loved multiple times a day. He says kind things and does things to make my life easier.
