A man I’ve been seeing has just rang to say he’s been told by the doctor that he has warts. He said he’s got one on the back of his knee, wrist, back of his neck and in the genital area. In panic I’ve spent hours trawling the internet, and from what I can gather there are different types of warts, with only some being STDs. It seems ‘common’ warts can be spread from your hands to other parts of your body, but can the genital wart strain spread to your hands? It doesn’t seem like it can.
It was a quick conversation but the doctor has said there nothing that can be done but to wait it out, but it says online that they can take years to disappear, but when my friend had actual genital warts the doctor immediately gave her treatment. I’m really confused. Can anyone medical help?
