How to tackle problem with neighbour

About a month or so ago my neighbours son went missing. Police involved but he was fine. We found out over Facebook that he was missing but he was found the morning after the posts so didn’t speak to neighbours as son was home and back to work almost immediately. We would have offered our help.

Over the last month or so they have had a huge amount of visitors which during the day there is obviously no issue however there is a lot happening in the middle of the night.

We are semi to each other in a private driveway so can’t get away from people coming and going. Last night was a motorbike at 01.30 am. Engine running and lights on while the rider was in the house for 10 minutes. To get to their house they have to pass our bedroom window so our room was flooded with the bike light, not to mention the noise.

Then two lots of people left at 2.30 and 3.15 am - talking and shutting the gates behind them. Finally, as with most mornings the dog is let out and barks at everything from about 05.30 am.

This is just one night. There have been several since the son went missing.

What would you do? We are shattered!

Go round and have chat - tell them you heard about their son and luckily he was found quite quickly, etc and is there anything you can help with? Open the lines of communication and take it from there?
