We are off to London this weekend for a mini-moon.

I really fancy seeing Hamilton.

He said it looks boring.

Good luck getting tickets is all I’ll say. I’d love to see it too

Kewqueue · 04/09/2018 14:08

I doubt you'd get tickets unless you want to book an "experience " and pay hundreds. We tried a few weeks back.

WishYouWereMine · 04/09/2018 14:17

There are tickets available on the returns and cancellations section of the website :) they are £100 ones but as it's our honeymoon I'm willing to pay.

There are a few £100 tix left for Saturday night. Or you could join the returns queue in the hope you can get something cheaper, but it will eat a massive chunk of your weekend. Enter the lottery, you have nothing to lose.

In terms of convincing him - i have no idea Sad

chasinggarlic · 04/09/2018 14:20

Cross posted.

If you are happy to pay £100 each DO IT!!

It's worth every penny.

chasinggarlic · 04/09/2018 14:21

Tell him if he goes and is bored you will make it up to him by sitting g through something absolutely shite that he enjoys Grin

KERALA1 · 04/09/2018 14:21

Ooh glad you enjoyed it just booked ours for December after constant pressure from 12 year old

MephistophelesApprentice · 04/09/2018 14:23

Show him the South Park episode "Broadway Bro Down".

We both want to see Book of Mormon so will likely go see that too!

Book of Mormon is really funny. Haven’t seen Hamilton yet but have tickets. Does anyone know if you have to turn up early if you’ve got tickets already?

Whatthefoxgoingon · 04/09/2018 14:28

My husband doesn’t like musicals so I’m taking DD who will appreciate it more I think!

keely79 · 04/09/2018 14:34

It's brilliant and not at all boring. Perhaps download the soundtrack and play it to him? My DH and I loved it.

WishYouWereMine · 04/09/2018 14:36

We are entering the lottery... I don't think I could cope if we spent £200 and he hated every second 😂

We couldn't get in to see Book of Mormon either! We ended up seeing Imperium - completely different but we really enjoyed it.

LBOCS2 · 04/09/2018 16:24

You do @Whatthefoxgoingon - they don't issue paper tickets in advance, so everyone queues outside and they're issued on the door once you show your booking confirmation, ID and payment card. Because it takes a bit longer to get in, the queues are longer.

PracticalTacticalBrilliance · 04/09/2018 16:49

Oh it's not boring at all! I have seen it 4 times, although never paid more than £50 a ticket so can't comment on the £100 seats.

I would say, however, that if the expensive seats are in any of the back boxes don't sit there as they are restricted view - and that's a lot of money to pay to not see something properly.

My DH loves Hamilton as much as I do. It's funny, moving and has fantastic songs - the cast are also amazing so if you do get a chance to see it at another time then go! The lottery is amazing value so fingers crossed you win some tickets.

Mormon is great fun too, so worth seeing if you do both fancy it.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 04/09/2018 17:47

Thanks LBOCS2! Do you know how much in advance we need to join the queue? Don’t want to miss the start. DD would never forgive me Grin
