Aldi stand mixer - any good?

Does anyone know whether the Aldi stand mixer is any good please? Read a couple of reviews on the Aldi site, which were positive, but wondered whether anyone had actually tried it? I have been trying to decide whether to get a KitchenAid one with birthday money, but not sure I could justify the expense, as I don’t make lots of cakes. Thank you.

Just bought one for dd - appears to be a good basic machine but then again it’s about the most i’d want to pay for one for a 15 year old!

It's great not wildly expensive but great for the job!

I agree with the above posters. I've had mine since 2013 and it does the job well.

Thanks for the replies. Still not sure. Has anyone experienced the KitchenAid one too and can say what the difference is in terms of performance please?
