Liquids / toiletries in hand luggage

However, presumably it’s fine to take toiletries etc through security within the rules and then top up at Boots once through security?

Have just realised this may not work - ie I change flights in Lisbon. Not sure if I have to go through security again. In which case Imwould need to,pick up extra toiletries in Lisbon

yeah chances are you will need to go through security in lisbon so cant buy before then

How much in the way of toiletries do you need? Can't you swap some stuff over - soap for shower gel, Lush solid shamppo for shampoo, etc?

I will be ruthless! I have a £1 set of mini bottles from the Pound Shop and will decant into those.

I think I can confine to miniatures of contact lens solution, toothpaste, deodorant, sun cream, face cream, shampoo / conditioner and a mini mascara and lipstick. Think I can squash that into one of those plastic bags.

When I was buying suncream and had a connecting flight, the Boots lady at gatwick out my liquids in a sealed duty free bag to show that they were ‘safe’. That was via Dubai though who are a lot more relaxed around liquids, etc.

Obvious point, but if you buy toiletries at Lisbon or wherever and only have hand luggage you will need to ditch the toiletries that are too big on the way back. I say obvious but on,y from bitter experience!
