Where to buy boys school shoes in larger sizes?

Dc is an adult size 7 - am I looking at £££ adult shoes or does anyone know where I could go for more reasonably priced school shoes (smart black lace ups preference for a slightly more pointed than square/round toe).
I've got 2 x to buy including trainers and stupidly hadn't budgeted for any and could weep at the thought of pay £70/80 a pair!

Clarks kids school shoes go up to a adult size 10, plus have a size of growth room in them so worth it unless he tends to batter them?

We also ordered these 'indestructible' ones which are leather, £35 and go up to a 10, but they weren't wide enough. Seem to have good reviews though

Next boys go up to a size 8. Should be half that price. Men's sales also usually good as that's a small men's size so less popular and often in sales

Next have some nice leather brogues at £29 in a 7 on line

You'll be surprised at what you can find in your high street shops that you don't expect.

Also Asda, Tesco etc have size 7s in the adults shoes selection but they are much cheaper than Clarks etc adults shoes.

We have 4 sons, their feet are:
ds1 - 10.5, (age 17)
ds2 - 8.5, (age 15)
ds3 -7.5, (age 11)
and ds4 - 5 (just age 8)

A few days ago we got ds2 and ds3 shoes and trainers from Sports direct (2 x shoes and 2 x trainers) and spent £120.

We thought ds1 and ds2 had big feet, but ds3 and ds4 both seem to have massive feet for their ages so we aren't looking forward to buying their shoes in a few years. Expecting ds3 to end up needing a size 13 or 14 eventually with the way he is going. (He'll have to get a job and pay for them himself if he needs to have them made specially!)

M&S have a range of style in men’s (start at a 6 I think). You’ll find there’s the price range is wide, there’s the £70 plus ones but there’s also much cheaper smart shoe.

This is were I get my DS school as their school shoes have to be smart-black-leather-don’t-resemble-a-trainer and I got them for €35 (so will be less than that in Sterling).

Deathly, my DSs were similar sizes as your younger DSs. They started school in a size 1. Their feet stopped growing about age 14 and have ended up at size 11. They are 18 and 17 now and 6'3 and 6'2 so you may not end up with as big an issue as you think. DH takes a 12 but I only take a 6 which is quite small for being nearly 5'10.

M&S school shoes go up to an adult 9 and all cost less than £35. Smart styles too.

DS(9) is in a 6 already!

Next do some excellent hardwearing leather school shoes.
And sports direct had a good choice on Sunday when we were traipsing round (as ds has grown 1.5 sizes since July!)

Also - start rite outlet go up to a size 9 although they only have these available at the moment

TK Maxx is my first port of call for school shoes for DS1, who has long narrow feet (size 11). He is very thin and most men's shoes look too heavy on him, but TK Maxx stocks some suitable brands. DS 2 has wider size 10s and we usually go to Clarks for him. Also the Geox outlet shops.

Thanks again everyone - had a real result as both liked & fitted shoes from Next (£30&32), youngest Dc was happy with trainers from Asda for £11 and fussier teen managed to find a pair of black Nike trainers in sports direct for £21 so under £100 for 4 pairs of shoes . Ignoring the need for football & hiking boots until the weekend

Well done OP. When they go into full adult sizes, It's also worth keeping an eye out on some of the Kickers smarter shoes as I've occasionally picked up a pair on Amazon for around the £30 mark for DSs.
