How can I get Spotify on a device for my DD (9) which is not an iPod (I just dont get on with iProducts). I do not want her to have access to other internet features - only Spotify.

I did a little google and I think my best optiin is buying an old smartphone and putting only spotify on it - somehow. Us that right??

Any help appreciated. I could just get an ipod but I find it confusing to use apple products. Never understood it.

You can put Spotify on a kindle, if that helps? Or any other tablet.

Yeah you can do that then download playlists so that she doesn't need Internet to play them (if you are a premium member) they will need a Gmail address on the smart phone /tablet as the play store requires that for any app download.

Any old android phone can have Spotify, and if that's the sole purpose for buying it, you should be able to get one pretty cheap because you won't need to worry about paying extra for other features

Don't buy an old device. Buy something up-to-date and restrict Internet access for all programs but Spotify. If you buy an old device it will quickly become obsolete and lose the ability to do the task you've bought it for. You'll get more for your money over time buying something that's the generation behind whatever's most current.

If you are going to download the music to Spotify, you need a device with a decent amount of memory (at least 16GB, but I'd go for 32BG). Spotify in itself doesn't need lots of memory if you are just streaming music from an internet connection. But once downloaded (so the music can be played when not connected to the internet) music is stored in the memory of the device. Three or four albums and a couple of play lists soon add up in terms of memory usage.
