Course it is. When dh goes out and I've got wine and cheesey puffs and dd's are in bed it's definitely been known to happen Smile

MrsJayy · 03/09/2018 20:16

I drink onmy own Dh rarely drinks so i do and get slightly pissed

Burp1 · 03/09/2018 20:17

Of course!

NapQueen · 03/09/2018 20:17

Depends how often.

Nightly; no. Frequently or sporadically; fine.

Depends why.

Depressed; no. Not depressed; no.

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/09/2018 20:17

Oh god, absolutely! Enjoy Smile

MrsJayy · 03/09/2018 20:17

Mmmmm cheesey puffs and wine Grin

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 03/09/2018 20:18

Yes it is.

pugalugs90 · 03/09/2018 20:18

Absolutely all the time. Wine is mummy's way of forgetting what a little shit you were all day 😂

Racecardriver · 03/09/2018 20:18

I do. I E joy wine/beer etc but I am a lightweight and an embarrassing drunk so I normally drink when I am alone if I am planning on having a full bottle of ale/a full glass of wine. After that point I just stop though because I can't taste very well when even a tiny bit drunk.

HPLikecraft · 03/09/2018 20:19

'Course it is, you're an adult. Do what the flip you like, as long as you're not driving or anything.
Why would you care what random people view as acceptable? Especially something in the privacy of your own home.

Ignoramusgiganticus · 03/09/2018 20:19

I've had sangria on my own tonight. I can't vouch for my sobriety.

KnotsInMay · 03/09/2018 20:19

If I am in on my own on a weekend evening and watch a film with a bottle of wine (would drink half, probably) I'll know I've had it.

Unacceptable to who? I don't find it unacceptable to myself. why would I?

(I am definitely not an alcoholic)

PuppyMonkey · 03/09/2018 20:19

It’s not only acceptable, it’s positively essential sometimes imho.Grin

As long as you don’t do it all day every day, the occasional night in on your own with a bottle of wine and the telly is one of life’s great pleasures.

Needsleepneedsleep · 03/09/2018 20:20

Yes!Wine

Rebecca36 · 03/09/2018 20:21

Perfectly alright as long as it is mild and not regular.

restingbemusedface · 03/09/2018 20:22

Doesn’t everyone have a couple of glasses of wine on their own every now and then?

SavageBeauty73 · 03/09/2018 20:23

I do it. Most weekends. Single mum 🤷‍♀️ I have a laugh

Tetri · 03/09/2018 20:24

Perfectly acceptable... and even if it wasn't who would know, because after all, you're on your own 😂

KnotsInMay · 03/09/2018 20:29

All these people eating cheesy puffs though, that's disgusting. Nasty things.

Do you think men would ask this of themselves?

simbobs · 03/09/2018 20:29

Yes, absolutely. My DH not able to drink at the moment for medical reasons and we are well stocked with wine. I have no intention on letting it go to waste.

highlandteajenny · 03/09/2018 20:29

Absolutely fine IMO! Thanks to drinking a glass bottle of wine on my own and being delightfully tipsy, I decided it would be a great idea to join a dating website. Because of that I met my husband and now we are starting our family. Of course on another occasion I bought a load of random stuff from a shopping channel, sometimes it goes better than others Grinas long as you are chilling out and enjoying a quality tasty beverage, and not drinking to mask things that need dealt with, then enjoy!
