Constant pain when working. Help.

I do a regular desk job part time, and I'm constantly using a keyboard and mouse. Recently I've started getting a nasty, sharp pain sort of inside my right shoulder blade within minutes of using the mouse (I'm right handed). As far as I know my posture is okay and desk chair at an okay height etc?

Is there anything I can do to ease the pain? When I try and rotate my right shoulder to ease the pain I can feel something clicking deep inside Sad

Try a different mouse. What sort do you have now?
I've recommended the Evoluent mouse to lots of people (desk assessments were part of my old job).
Or a tracker ball type.

Is your computer screen at the right height though?

Also do you ever hold a pen at the same time (and in the same hand) as holding the mouse? That's a big no-no I've learned.

Thank you so much. No I never hold a pen while also using the mouse. It's just a very standard mouse I think? At what height should the monitor be at please?

Thank you for the links. Thing is I don't have any wrist or hand pain. It's purely this one spot behind my shoulder blade Confused

Moving a standard mouse can cause arm, shoulder, neck pain.
