Wasp infestation

Since June we've had wasps at the end of our roof (over our bedroom). DH did nothing about them. Last week we started hearing them in the roof. I called an exterminator who came out and placed powder in the holes. That night, we didn't hear any wasps. However, Saturday and last night I heard buzzing and between Saturday and today we've killed 12 wasps in our room! Only there is absolutely no hole for them to be coming thru in our room so how in the hell are they getting in when they weren't getting in before?!

Um, usually when you put powder in the entrance to a nest they go on a hunt to find a new way in - you can watch them testing every surface of a building looking for a safe entrance - which it sounds like they've been doing... Do you have ventilation slats above your windows?

Can you not call the exterminator back?

If it wasn't your bedroom affected you could just wait a few weeks. Wasp nests die off at the end of the summer, queen leaves to hibernate and then starts a new nest somewhere else next year.

They weren't getting in before because they weren't trying to - they had their nest and were getting on with things. The exterminator displaced them rather than removing them.

So, on second thought, maybe don't ask the same one back.

The exterminator said to call him back if they aren't gone by Tuesday and he will inject something into the wall??

They are definitely buzzing in the wall rather than before when it sounded like a crackling. Just not as many as before maybe? I'm freaked out and can't sleep in my bed as all I hear is buzzing and this morning there was one on the headboard and one in my hair 😳
