Can anyone recommend?

For various reasons, I'm not confident my current dentist is thorough enough and I'm uneasy.

I found the BUPA clinic in Cornhill excellent.

Unfortunately Jenny has retired now - she specialised in nervous patients - but it might be worth contacting them and asking exactly the same question.

Not cheap but I was delighted with my treatment.

Jonathan Renshaw on Wright's Lane in Kensington is lovely - gentle but thorough. He basically saved my mouth after years of neglect!

Pickerings in upper st

Justin or Mr Island are fab but Zoriana was bloody excellent when I had a bit of a fearful meltdown, patient, kind and so understanding. I can’t possibly recommend her enough

ha I just came along to say Pickerings in Upper St., Islington..Grin

Brilliant, thank you - off to check these out.

I feel like, if I move now and find a really good dentist instead of one where I have a hunch it's not quite good enough - I could be saving myself a lot of future hassle. And pain.

I love Ian Kelly at BUPA Cornhill.

I can walk to Pickerings! That's gotta be a sign!

I find Penny Grace at The Dental Surgery in Mark Lane (near Tower Hill) very good.

I've been going there about 10 years now, and she remains good humoured every time I go AWOL then come crawling back because something is playing up.

I have to say I had a bad experience at Pickerings in Islington. The dentist (older man...unfortunately I can't remember his name) was so rude and I left in tears.

Aurelija Korsakaite at Wisdom Dental in Acton is lovely. It's an NHS practice and accepting new patients according to the website.

The Fulham dentist is excellent

If you're based in East London, I've just registered with Plashet Road Dental Surgery and went for my first check-up today - I'm a nervous patient but the dentist there is so kind and gentle and generally lovely! He talked to me about everything that he was doing and also took me through what my next bit of treatment will involve (30-minute big clean) so that I knew what to expect.
