Irlen Syndrome

Can anyone advise me on the rough cost of an assessment as an adult for Irlen Syndrome please? I have always had difficulty in reading due to visual disturbances when reading and from what I have looked in to, I may have problems with visual stress. My glasses are currently the correct prescription for my eyesight.

My daughter has Irlen glasses. Her assessment was £300 I think. The list of screeners is in the Irlen website I think.

Thank you.

Have a look at Irlen UK I paid I think £340 for mine, I think it varies by testing centre though as Dsis paid less for hers.

I used a private appointment with a doctor who specialises in behavioural optometry. She ran assessments for visual processing issues, auditory processing issues and various other things. Cost about £180. Follow up appointments (the coloured overlay may need to be changed over time as other exercises support and strengthen the processing system) are £45. That was for DS, but it’s the same for an adult.
If you are in East Anglia or East of London, I’ll gappily send you the details.

Thanks for all of your replies. I'm based in Berkshire, so there should be somewhere in driving distance for assessment centres.
