What guesses/assumptions would you make about the list writer? Which supermarket? And guess the cost...

It's for Aldi
I'm guessing cost of £70

springmachine · 02/09/2018 13:36

I was assume the writer is female with children or a child that is older than 1, and that they have a milkman.

I would guess she is on a diet, or looks after her weight and that the broccoli rice is for her, and that the pepperoni pizza is for the child(ren).

I assume from the serum q10 that she is mid 30's

CherryCherryCherry · 02/09/2018 13:49

Tescos. In her 40s. Married. Maybe older dcs. Depends where you can buy apricot wheats as to which shop.

pumpkintree · 02/09/2018 15:50

aldi 63.00 no kids

LongSummerDays · 02/09/2018 15:52

Nice handwriting, too. No wine or gin on the list! Shock

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 02/09/2018 15:56

From the presence of the chilli and other mixes, I'd say either not all that keen on cooking or extremely pressed for time or not a confident cook. It's a lot cheaper to buy the individual spices and herbs.

thismeansnothing · 02/09/2018 15:59

My assumption is the list writer needs a lesson in writing a shopping list.....it's all over the bloody show! 😱 Surely you write it in order of sections / aisles of the store that are together or in the order you get to them otherwise you are just going to miss things out ..... So fruit/veg, meats, dairy, tins (this is if it's the Aldi I shop in)

But anyway I'm guessing female, who's trying to eat healthy but wants the odd treat. Who uses her slow cooker alot. Supermarket I'd say Tesco. Shop total about £80

Tika77 · 02/09/2018 16:16

They don’t own a phone. So much easier to write your list and just delete.

Also, she probably forgot loads as nothing’s been crossed off.

Racheyg · 02/09/2018 16:20

Female
Late 30's -early 40's
Tesco or Lidl
Has children around ages 8-12

Smidge001 · 02/09/2018 16:24

I'd have picked two completely different people based on the handwriting vs what's on the list

LemonysSnicket · 02/09/2018 16:48

Sainsbury's £115, shops a lot like me but I don't buy frozen roast pots.
Probably likes to cook, makes their pasta sauce from scratch. Middle age because they buy sardines (although so do I and I'm 23 so who knows).

LemonysSnicket · 02/09/2018 16:49

Q10 places them late 30s/early 40s actually. Foodie but not overly adventurous

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 03/09/2018 11:14

I own a phone but I make a handwritten list. It lives on top of the microwave and everyone in the house adds to it as they remember things we need. For the same reason things don't get added in any logical order. We manage perfectly well with this imperfect system.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 03/09/2018 11:16

I'm also guessing that was a list written out for somebody else to use. If I made a list for myself I wouldn't bother writing 5% by the mince, I'd just write 'mince' and look for the kind I wanted when I got there. My own lists have lots of shorthand on them as I know what I mean.

FaintlyMacabre · 03/09/2018 11:19

It’s more precise than I would put on a list for my own use so I think it might be written for someone else to do the actual shopping.

Notso · 03/09/2018 11:20

I'd say they can't cook or don't have time to cook.
I think it's oddly detailed as if they are writing the list for someone else to shop from (or for mn to interpret) with the low fat crisps, table salt I'd just put crisps/salt and know which ones to buy.

DunesOfSand · 03/09/2018 11:23

There is a lot of meat and not much fruit/veg on that list.
Looks like going somewhere for a big top up shop, that then will use the local milkman, bakery and greengrocer for the rest.
Nice handwriting!
