How long does it take you to clean your house and what do you get done in that time?

I'm trying to sort out my flat after a long bout of depression, so I have a lot of work ahead of me to get that done. I'm taking it a bit at a time but still. Lots of stuff that I need to get to the charity shop or tip and a deep clean per room.

I also need to get a decent routine set up so I don't backslide again, and I never really had a solid routine anyway, more as-and-when. So what would you consider a reasonable weekly clean, as opposed to a deep clean, and how long does it take you?

If anyone knows of a good way to get white stuff off a glass shower screen, that would be great too!

Viakal spray will get rid of the white limescale/water marks on your shower screen and leave it sparkling and clean. Just spray it on, leave for a few mins and then scrub and rinse.

Here’s a routine I think is helpful (not saying I always do it Smile )

Daily jobs - wipe kitchen surfaces and oven top and sweep floor after washing up. Do a load of washing/ironing or sorting
Every few days - a swish and swipe clean of each bathroom, put recycling out
Weekly - clean through the house (split upstairs and downstairs to break it down) tidying, hoovering, dusting/wiping, and emptying bins. I focus more on one area each time eg one week might be a deep kitchen clean, another I might de clutter the front room.

Get into the habit of putting things back in their place and having a five minute tidy once or twice a day.
