Any advice - husband head injury

Hello, my husband hasn’t just got home having been drinking for the last 9 hours with blood all down him and was stumbling.

A Good Samaritan bought him home and explained he had seen him fall from his bike and hit his head in the concrete pavement. He got up tried to ride again and fell again.

He got in the shower whilst I was talking to the guy who bought him home. I looked at the cut he has a goose egg and a cut not very deep and about 3 cm long on the top of his head towards the back. The bleeding has stopped and he is saying he is ok. I would prefer he got himself checked out. I have no idea how that would happen as we have two children in bed. I also can’t drive. Are there any medical people out there who have any advice?

Call 111. I suspect they'll want him to go to a&e. Taxi or ambulance depending on what they say. I hope whatever happens he is suitably humble and apologetic tomorrow.

I would ring 111 (if A&E or a minor injuries isnt an option) - alcohol intake and resulting intoxication could mask signs of a more concerning head injury - eg vomiting, drowsiness, clumsiness etc.

That sounds nasty and you can’t be too careful with head injuries. Call 111 and see what they say.
