Thinking of leaving partner

Hi, I am currently living in private rented accommodation with my partner and our 2 children aged 3 and 4. For many reasons I am thinking of leaving him(well he would move out and the children and I stay here) the reason for my post is I am scared about being on my own and have no idea what I will be entitled to financially and if I will cope. What is involved when applying for single parent benefits (never done this before and currently not claiming any benefits)
Thanks in advance Smile

Because of your children's ages you should be entitled to income support, child tax credits, child benefit and housing benefit. To check this google entitledto and do a benefit check there is also a child maintenance checker online.

Thanks for replying. Do you know if I will receive any help with getting back to work through jobcentres etc as my children will be now going into part time and full time education. I really want to go back to work but would I still be entitled to these benefits?
