DPs birthday next week - no money!!

It’s DPs birthday next week (not a big one) and I haven’t really got any money to spend on it.

Please can I have some ideas of what I can get or make him that doesn’t cost a lot??

I’ve ordered personalised cards and a mug already, but need something else.

He knows that I’ve gotteb myself into a bit of a financial pickle and he wants me to focus on sorting that out - so does not want me to get him anything for his birthday!

But I obviously still want to make it a special day for him.

Any ideas are much appreciated!!

A nice picnic, a remote walk into the countryside and a lovely romantic afternoon. Weather permitting of course.
A little book of vouchers for him to redeem, can be romantic or practical things you agree to do for him.
A photo album put together of his favourite pictures etc..

I would make a really nice (budget friendly) dinner and dress up nice for it as though you are going out for a meal. Maybe slightly 1950s but I would love that

Just the mug and the card would be fine by me, even if the circs were more 'day to day'.

TBH we usually just do cards.

im not too sure of a specific item, but if money is tight you could always try somewhere like ebay, or gumtree for second hand things. you could also try etsy for something unique? hope this helps
