Hello!
I have a few questions that I'm not sure where else to find.
My father is very very sick back home..
I am based in London with my 12 year old son. I need to fly back home but what are the consequences of taking my son with me? I am alone in London with him.. no father or family members here.
He is supposed to start secondary school next week, but now this problem happened.. I need to leave ASAP

How long would you go for? What is the reason you are going? To support your family, to say goodbye, to do some caring for your father?

Sorry you find yourself in this awful situation but on the face of it, without more details, I would have to stay where I was for the sake of my DC and support from afar.

I'd have to go and look after him, for about a month.. it has got to the point where I think my father won't make it to the end of the year. 😭

I'm really sorry to hear about your father. I would have to say that in this situation, I would ask if DC could stay at a close friends house for Friday-Sunday (once he is settled into his new school) and fly there and back to see my father. Especially as there if there is nobody else that could take care of DC. Perhaps you could do this a couple of times, although it would be costly. Another option would be doing this but taking DC to fly down with you? Hope this helps x
