Don't mean those that are busy, but folk like me with 6 weeks and you've accomplished...not much.
I was going to-sort under stair cupboard.
Make new cushion covers.
Flush out and clean my fountain pens.(I know)
Replace zip on dd's skirt.
Take boots to cobblers.
Make beeswax food wrapping fabric.
None of these have happened. Work on Wednesday. Oops.

I don’t even have the excuse of having had children at home, but I was meant to do loads over the summer.
Get an extension on my online course and finish it.
Work on a business my friend and I are starting.
Sort out my bathroom refurbishment.
Finish some bits and pieces of decorating.
Sort out my wardrobe (as i’ve Put on weight and nothing fits!)
Start some proper exercise because nothing fits!
I’ve decided to treat the start of September as my new term! And actually get this stuff done.

Same old story for the past few years now. I seem to accomplish very little. Can decide if I’m a true procrastinator or it’s something else.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 01/09/2018 09:53

Oh shit, my online course.
I'm just naturally idle. I did do serious work on the garden and blitzed my shithole of a bedroom though.

  • finish DC’s mobile I started making for them
  • study for qualification
  • obviously lose a stone
  • sell stuff on eBay

Admittedly DC did turn up end of May and isn’t a sleeper or napped, unless in my arms. Hmm

Zoflorabore · 01/09/2018 10:00

Oh op thanks for the reminder Grin

I was going to-

Start practising my "magic" book by Rhonda Byrne ( positivity stuff )

Sort out the bathroom cupboard as it's like an avalanche

Decorate ds's bedroom

De clutter all of the clothes in the house

Take the dc's on enriching days out instead of trampoline parks

Sort out all of my beauty stuff, lotions and potions etc as I buy them and never use them

Basically, a million and one things.
I feel grateful to have survived the 7 weeks without running away to join the circus....

When dd goes back on Monday and ds goes back on Tuesday I am working my way through it all and am giving myself until the end of September to accomplish it all.

Clear out the garden shed and get rid of the things we no longer need, but in my defence, I was on crutches for a while and in a cast for 12 days following an operation on my ankle. Although I am pretty much back to normal now, it has only been in the past week that I have started doing normal amounts of walking and standing. So the shed can wait until next summer!

librarysuperstar · 01/09/2018 10:12

I was going to get fit/lose weight, sort out seeing loads of people I've not seen for ages, start writing a book, do some 'fun' schoolwork projects with DS and make his bedroom amazing.

I have not done these things.

GodolphianArabian · 01/09/2018 10:22

Right what I did do!

Sort DS's room
Clear out attic
Clear out understairs cupboard
Sorted front garden
Fixed kitchen floor

What I didn't do
Loads of work for school
Paint downstairs loo
Look at online courses and do one
Do loads of lovely days out being an active family walking and cycling (kids so busy playing with their mates I thought I'd leave them to it) does taking them to ikea count?

So still room for improvement. I honestly think I am missing a motivation / energy gene.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/09/2018 10:24

Sort out the garden

For the fourth year running 😃

Zoflorabore · 01/09/2018 10:55

Nothing

Ditto!
Also 4th year of saying it. In my defence it's huge and we moved from a house with a garden the size of a postage stamp.
Next year....

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/09/2018 11:12

I have no defence!

Well I do work so can use the OP Oh Man I'm so busy

But actually I've just spent too much time on my arse MNing etc

Our garden is not very big Grin
