I assume no but all my friends keep going on that I need one. Thanks.

Those aren't usual colours for a hand... What happened? Do you have pain? Movement?

plazzac · 31/08/2018 22:49

Oh sorry! It was crushed between a box and surface when I tried to catch it. There's only pain when touched in one small spot. Full movement though. It's now been a week.

I'm not sure...and I'm a radiographer...! Sounds unusual for it to be so bruised yet no pain.

Book an appointment with you GP. Your GP will send you for X ray if they think anything boney is going on Smile

If it still hurts after a week it might be worth a trip to the Minor Injuries unit.

I didn't know I'd cracked an elbow for a week (amazing bruising).

If the box was empty cardboard clearly not. If it was a metal crate filled with gold ingots, clearly yes. With only a fragment of the history and no way to examine, the only sensible advice we can possibly give is "If you're worried, get it seen"

Pinpoint tenderness is a sign of a break, I would get it x rayed

justforthisnow · 01/09/2018 00:05

Without knowing full history and based on your fantastic description, I'd aim for an xray for hairline fracture.

How is it today OP?
