I am looking to buy a car seat for second baby and looking at the doona car seat and the maxi cosi pebble which has not change to stone and wondered if anyone had any of them,

I have seen a lot of comment on the doona car seat being used as a pram and won’t be using as a pram as need my double for days out with have two babies under 2 but great for nipping places, would love comments off people who have the car seat and personal opinions??

I would get a seat with a 5point harness as they're much safer eg Besafe izi go or similar. Safety over anything imo.

I used the maxi cosi pebble with a seatbelt as I didn't have an isofix base. It was absolutely fine and got me through until DD went in a bigger car seat at about 1. She's now in an extended rear facing isofix seat.

Also, saw that the Doona converts to a stroller. That's pointless, you'd need to put baby in a carrycot when out and about anyway. A friend's baby almost died from lack of air due to being in a car seat too long. She went blue, floppy, unresponsive and was airlifted to Alder Hey where she then spent a month in an induced coma. Not something you'd want to risk.
